Lead, Business Development, Pharma Bio-Simulation Technology & Services

We are seeking a Leader of Business Development for Pharmaceutical Industry Bio-Simulation & Virtual Clinical Trials Technology & Clinical Services to join a group of long-time scientists and entrepreneurs’ latest innovative company focused on improving medication efficacy and safety. We provide a unique suite of solutions for pharmaceutical industry clinical trials and pharmacovigilance that simulate real-world impact of investigational and novel medications in various populations, improving clinical trial design, reducing risk of trial disenrollment, and more precise drug labeling for improved medication safety and efficacy. The successful candidate will lead business development efforts promoting and successfully closing real world trial technology and simulation services. This role requires extensive knowledge and experience of the pharmaceutical industry, pharmaceutical companies, and clinical research trials. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in the pharmaceutical industry with demonstrated industry partnerships. This individual will play a critical role in driving revenue growth and pharmaceutical industry client base. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify market size and pro forma targets for the GalenusRx offering for Pharma.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing and business development strategy, in collaboration with the GalenusRx Executive Team, to achieve revenue targets and maximize market penetration.
  • Identify prospective clients and partners.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, including senior executives, at target organizations.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify opportunities and competitive positioning.
  • Lead and execute the entire business development cycle, including initial contact to contract negotiation and closing partnerships.
  • Forecast business and regularly report on activities, pipeline, and results.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscape to identify new business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop strategies and solutions for customer satisfaction and long-term success.
  • Demonstrate thought leadership at industry events, conferences, and trade shows.
  • Be able to provide individual contribution to sales eventually building an effective team of pharmaceutical industry business development leaders to scale business growth.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Relationships are already established with clinical pharmacology teams at several pharmaceutical industry organizations.
  • Strong understanding of clinical trials research, decision making process and regulatory environment.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders at various levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute sales strategies and plans.
  • Proven experience meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field. Preference will be given to applicants with MBA.
  • 10+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry clinical pharmacology and biosimulation/virtual clinical trials.
  • 10+ years of experience in sales business development, with successful sales to pharmaceutical company clinical pharmacology and trials leaders.
  • A BPharm, PharmD or MD degrees will be considered advantageous

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds.

Working Conditions:

  • Remote. We reserve the right to change this work arrangement at any time.
  • We will not provide moving expenses or fund renovations or decorations for home offices.
  • 50% or more travel will be required for this position.

  • None currently.

Salary Range: Base:

  • TBD

Bonus

  • In addition to the base salary, there is a performance-based bonus structure tied based upon mutually agreed upon goals/accomplishments.
