Dr. Orsula V. Knowlton is Co-Founder, Chief Strategy and Innovation Officer for GalenusRx. She has over 25 years of entrepreneurial experience starting, growing, and scaling patient-centered medication risk management companies focused on improving quality and outcomes by transforming industry practices. In her role she leverages her experiences to support the company’s overall strategy, strategic priorities, driving a culture of innovation, while managing the processes and the framework for evaluating and prioritizing innovative ideas and opportunities. She also leads business development and partnerships, marketing, and communications, in collaboration with the Team, along with corporate, client, and investor relations.
Dr. Knowlton was Co-Founder, President, and Chief Marketing and Business Development Officer of Tabula Rasa HealthCare, Inc. Her entrepreneurial pharmacist, business executive, and innovation experience drove corporate growth, culture, and client satisfaction. During her tenure, she supported the company from start-up to market leader in the fully-at risk value-based care model of the Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly capturing 40% of the market for medication safety and pharmacy with $300 MM in revenues.
Prior to TRHC, Dr. Knowlton was a key member of the start-up management and leadership team of excelleRx, a hospice medication management and pharmacy distribution company, now owned by Humana. During her tenure as VP, Chief Marketing, Strategy, and Business Development Officer, the company grew organically to service over 85,000 hospice patients in 49 States. The company was purchased by a Fortune 500 company in 2005.
Dr. Knowlton has been honored with numerous awards and has been a member of several non-for-profit, private and public company boards. Dr. Knowlton received her Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and Doctorate in Pharmacy from the University of the Sciences College of Pharmacy, Philadelphia, PA. She is a graduate of Temple University’s Fox School of Business Executive MBA program, Philadelphia, PA.
